After experiencing two world wars and the perplexing post war years, Golding, in his fable - like classical work 'Lord of the Flies', depicts a group of youngsters from the civilized world whO will not hesitate to strike and kill for power when freed from the restriction of morals and law, causing scene after scene of blood thirsty battles to occur. Golding expounds his hallo viewpoint that man was born of evil nature in his novel. Though the author's outlook on mankind does not conform with the trend of development of the history of mankind, criticism turned from society to man himself in introspection is to be considered more rational, sober - minded and forceful.
