The paper describes the measuring theory of the roll-gap meter introduced by the EAF Steelmaking Plant of Pudong Iron & Steel Works and analyses the propable defects showed with the measured typical graph. The operation and maintenance of the meter are also described. It will be referable for the other similar plants.
