笼养下黄腹角雉(Tragopan caboti)粪便中性激素的变化研究 被引量:6

A STUDY ON THE CHANGES OF THE SEX STEROID EXTRACTED FROM THE DROPPINGS OF CABOT'S TRAGOPAN (TRAGOPAN CABOTI) IN CAPATIVITY

摘要 对黄腹角雉 (Tragopancaboti)粪样中性激素的分析发现 ,雄性黄腹角雉的许多繁殖行为如求偶炫耀、领域行为 (鸣叫和侧炫耀 )、走动等的发生频次与粪便中睾酮质量分数显著相关 ;雄性黄腹角雉的射精量与其粪便中睾酮质量分数的变化相一致 .这些表明可以利用测定粪样中的激素以监测黄腹角雉的繁殖状况 .研究还表明 ,黄腹角雉两性个体粪样中雌二醇和睾酮质量分数之比存在显著差异 ,因此在野外研究中 ,利用粪样内雌雄激素的比值进行性别鉴定、了解种群结构是可行的 . Through analyzing the estradiol and the testosterone extracted from the fecal of Cabot's tragopan, it is found that the male Cabot's tragopan's behavior, such as walking, courtship display and territory behavior, is correlated with the change of the concentration of the testosterone. This indicates that its feasible to monitor the reproductive condition of male Cabots tragopan by analyzing testosterone level. The content of estradiol and testosterone between male and female is different. Ostradiol is low in male and high in female, but testosterone is high in male and low in female. Hence, the sex of Cabots Tragopan can be distinguished by the ratio of estradiol and testosterone.
