Virtual prototyping is introduced in this paper. Based on the analysis of system dynamics of vertical planetary mill, Virtual prototyping is applied in design of this mill. Developing of virtual prototype of mill, virtual test and optimization of virtual prototype are described. The conclusion of this paper shows great advantage of Virtual prototyping and has theoretical meaning for manufacturing of vertical planetary mill.
