人的自我意识的产生导致生命中生存与存在的异化。人对存在的思考 ,产生生命的痛苦。这种痛苦是“必死”与各种“坎坷”和疾病给人身心造成的痛苦 ,带有不可避免的根本性。而要超越“苦海” ,唯有进行审美。审美机制是人类进行自我拯救的基本出路。

Man's consciousness of himself leads to dissimila tion of substance and existence in life.His reflection on existence causes the a gonies of life,which is inherent in his body and mind by 'the inevitability of death'and all hardships and frustrations and diseases in his life.The only way t o transcend the 'abyss of misery'is the appreciation of beauty.Aesthetic mech anism is man's only way to save himself.
