It was the first time that geotextile grid - bag form work was used on seashore rubble mound revetments protecting an ash storage yard. The grid - bags are made of polyester, filled with plain concrete to a thickness of 250mm. Laying of the geotextile grid - bags, concrete filling and quality control inspection are all carried out in line with pre-arranged methods and designs. The key factor in concrete pouring lies in the good flowability and workability of concrete as well as the continuity of concrete pouring.
