On the basis of analyzing the importance of logistics in national economy, this paper firstly discusses the necessity and feasibility of the transition from traditional transport entity industry to modern logistics entity in China. Then the authors analyze the problems and chances which China are facing in the logistics development. Furthermore they propose the strategies of developing the traditional transport to modern logistics. Finally, this paper expounds the effects on logistics generated by using ITS technologies.
