The computer internal storage and the computation time are cut down by 60--80% in heat transfer analysis as the joint program linking ABAQUS software with dynamic boundary conditions has been developed. By means of three-dimensional solidification simulation of the casting on computer,the solidification deficiency areas are found.Several improved techniques are checked and a scientific basis is provided for working out the best improved technique.
