APPLICATIONS OF DAMAGE MECHANICS IN THE PROBLEMS OF HIGH CYCLE FATIGUE OF METALS

摘要 本文用损伤力学研究金属高周疲劳问题。假设损伤为各向同性,并考虑应力与损伤的互耦效应,用有限元法,预估了含缺口板材试件的疲劳寿命。计算和实验S-N曲线表明,本方法预估寿命误差在工程允许范围内。 In this paper, the high cycle fatigue problems are studied by means of the method of damage mechanics. The coupling effect between stresses and damage is considered. The fatigue lives of plate specimens with notches are predicted by the finite element method.The comparisons between the computational and experimented fatigue curves show that the errors of the predicted lives given by this method are permissible in engineering applications.
