本文主要论述 2 1世纪大学图书馆在信息通讯技术迅猛发展条件下所产生的网络服务、信息中心、数字图书馆、远程教学等方面的新功能。特别强调网络服务功能将引起大学图书馆信息服务功能的质的改变 ,数字图书馆是大学图书馆馆藏结构调整的根本动因等。

This paper mainly deals with some new functions of college libraries such as network service,information center,digital library and remote teaching and so on with the rapid development of information technology in the 21 st century.It emphasizes that network service will bring about essential changes in information service funciton of college libraries.The digital library is the basic force to adjust the collection structure of college libraries.
