The paper mainly stated the principle and main research progress of the coal biologic conversion ( dissolution ), biologic desulfurization and other biologic processing. From the coal element structure and sulfur formation in coal, the paper introduced the possibility and feasibility of the coal biologic processing. The paper also reviewed the development direction of the biologic clean coal technology in 21st Century.
