通过介绍UGII中约束的种类 ,指出设计过程中建立正确的约束关系是设计人员准确表达设计意图的前提。从便于理解和应用的角度将UGII中的约束分为零件层次的约束和部件层次的约束 ,描述了这二个层次约束的具体内容和作用 ,并通过实例加以说明。

The concept of constraints of UGII which is a feature-based design system is discussed from the view point of user. It is the base requirement to create correct constraints in order to represent users' design meaning. The constraints of UGII system are divided into two fields, which are constraints of part and constraints of assembly. The details and effects of constraints are also discussed in this paper.
