Extrusion rate,melt pressure,flow profile and mixing effects of the conical twin screw with mixing elements were observed experimentally.Effects of mixing elements and distributing elements on mixing were studied. The results showed that effects of the conical twin screw with mixing elements were obviously superior to those of the conventional conical twin screw.
