The design of top-down construction method used in underground project of Grand Hyatt Hangzhou is introduced in detail. Combined with the field observation data, the horizontal deflection and moment of diaphragm walls, the soil and water pressure acting on diaphragm walls and the ground settlement during the whole process of construction are analyzed.
