摘要
ORACLE8数据库管理系统作为一种面向网络计算 ,并支持对象关系模型的产品已得到了广泛的应用。而如何对各种影响系统运行性能的因素进行合理调整 ,以得到较好的运行状态 ,对整个系统的性能优化起着重要作用。本文探讨了影响ORACLE8SERVER性能的主要因素 ,并从最大化数据文件参数的配置、表空间的配置 ,应用程序的设计、表设计 ,建立索引 ,优化查询与连接 ,以及簇、过程对象、函数、包、触发器的使用 ,运行环境的要求等方面对ORACLE8SERVER及应用系统的优化技术进行了研究 。
As one of DBMS which are aimed at network computing and supports object-oriented relational model, ORACLE8 has gotten wide-ranging application. It is important to put every factors to rational use for getting good performance in one system. In this paper, factor that affect the performance of ORACLE8 SEVER are discussed. The tuning techniques for ORACLE8 SEVER and relevant applications are mainly studied from the aspects such as configuration of parameters(maxdata files and table space); the design of applications and tables; the creation of index; query optimum and connection optimum; the use of clusters, processes, functions, packages and triggers; the requirements of running environment. Thus, the tuning processes could enable the ORACLE8 SEVER to meet the needs of various application.
