MODERN DISTANCE LEARNING——STRATEGIC OPTION FOR DEVELOPING CHINA'S KNOWLEDGE-BASED ECONOMY

知识经济是建立在知识生产、传播和使用基础上的经济 ,现代远程教育连接知识生产和使用 ,是面向知识经济战略选择。该文分析了现代远程教育的基本特点和发展现代远程教育的重要性 ,提出了在中国发展现代远程教育的基本思路及政策建议。

Knowledge economy is based on the production, distribution and application of knowledge, and modern distance learning is very important to link the production and the application of knowledge together for developing knowledge-based economy. This paper discusses the characterisitics and importance of modern distance learning in knowledge-based economy, presented the basic ways and policy/suggestions for developing China's distance learning.
