“发展”是当代中国也是当代世界社会生活的两大主题之一。社会全面发展和人的全面发展是马克思主义对社会主义新社会的本质要求和目的所在。社会的全面发展与人的全面发展是相互结合、相互促进 ,互为前提和基础的。建设有中国特色社会主义是全面发展和全面进步的社会主义 ,我们要在发展社会主义物质文明和精神文明的基础上 ,不断推进人的全面发展 ,使社会全面发展与人的全面发展与时共进。

Development is one of the two themes both in modern world and in modern China. Comprehensive development of society and man is the essential requirement and the purpose of socialism predicted by Marx. Comprehensive development of society and comprehensive development of man can act each other and promote each other. Building socialism with Chinese characteristics is socialism with overall development and progress. While we promote socialist material and spiritual civilization, we should balance the comprehensive development of society and man.
