梅州区域经济可持续发展问题探析

AN ANALYSIS ON THE PROBLEMS OF THE SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF MEIZHOU

分析了梅州生态环境历史变迁 ,认为长期以来 ,人口、资源和环境的矛盾及由此导致的产业结构不合理 ,是造成生态环境的破坏和区域经济发展缓慢的主要因素。提出了应尽快调整与提升产业结构 ,加快工业化和农业现代化进程 ,提高人口素质 ,改善生态环境 ,发挥山区优势 ,保障区域经济可持续发展。

The historical changes of ecological environment of Meizhou City are analysed. It is considered that the contradiction among population, resources, and environment for the long run, which resulted in the unreasonable industrial structure, is the main factor causing the damages of ecological environment and the slowness in the regional economic development. Some suggestions are put forward: adjust the industrial structure as soon as possible, promote the process of industrialization and the modernization of agriculture, enhance the quality of population, improve the ecological environment, and bring the advantages of mountainous areas into play for the sustainable regional economic development.
