礼治是孔子全部政治思想的核心和出发点。孔子强调“为国以礼”,但他并不否定法。他的礼治思想不排斥法,相反他把法看作是礼治的重要一环。具体实践中,应以礼统法,以法复礼。礼治是目的,法治是手段。
The ideology of rule by ceremony was the soul and starting point of Confucian all political ideology. Confucius emphasized the rule by ceremony, but he didn't exclude the law, on the contrary he rcguard the law as an important link of rule by ceremony. In practice, the ceremony must guide the law and the law must revive the ceremony. The ceremony was a goal but the rule by law was only a means.
