The paper introduces Popper′s viewpoint of error and his initiating critical spirit of science. Popper thought that people could seek for truth and couldn′t get to it because of the objectivity of existing error. To find error is the essential premise of the development of science. Upholding the truth and correcting the error is unity of opposites. Fallibility is character of man and science. All knowledge may be wrong. The method of attempting and eliminating the error is a kind of methodology of science. He initiated the spirit of science of being bold in making a mistake and criticizing and denying.
