摘要
笔者对英语“预制语块”的定义做了界定。从不同角度概括了它的分类标准 :第一 ,与语块的长度和语法有关 ,第二 ,属于标准的还是非标准的 ,第三 ,固定的还是可变的 ,第四 ,连续性的还是非连续性 ;按功能分为以下四类 :多字短语 ,约定俗成的表达法 ,限制性短语和句子构建等 ;同时论述了它们在书面话语中的作用。最后 ,以信件为例论述了它们在学习外语中的作用。
The essay deals with the definition of the prefabricated language, and sums up the criteria of the categories from different angles, namely according to: 1. What its length and grammatical status is; 2. Whether the phrase has a canonical or non-canonical shape; 3. Whether the phrase is variable or fixed; 4. whether the phrase is continuous or discontinuous. These phrases can be divided into 4 groups according their functions: i.e. poly words, institutionalized expressions; phrasal constrains and sentence builders. Then the paper goes on to deal with their functions and written discourse and their effects on foreign language learning by illustrating letter- wring.
