The concept of engine lifetime is in the category of reliability . It should be studied under the guidance of the reliability theory. This paper studied the procedures and methods of the lifetime determination of aero engines. In accordance with our actual situation, some suggestions are given as procedures and methods of the lifetime determination of fighter engines.
