A study was conducted on the effect of different mass concentration of Na 2S 2O 3 on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat.The results indicated that amylase activity,germination percentage and germinating energy of seed and growth of radicel and plumule were decreased with the increment of Na 2S 2O 3 concentration in culturing solution.Proline content in seedling was increased as a result of the increment of Na 2S 2O 3 concentration,but it was reduced when the Na 2S 2O 3 concentration was higher than 500 mg·L -1
