New strip position control unit developed by Silicon Ste el Sheet Mill of WISCO has been successfully applied to many kinds of continuous production lines of cold and hot rolled strips. This paper decribes the unit's f unction, theory and characterics in detail. It was awarded patent right by Chin a Patent Bureau and came into international market.
