Oxygen determination technique plays an important role in low carbon steel production. The paper describes the technique application in low carbon steel production through four aspects: liquid steel produced by BOF to RH TB refining, suitable decarbonization parameter determination, decarbonization completion point determination, adequate control of Al s content in liquid steel. The paper also analyzes the problems in the application.
