The paper analyzes factors influencing continuous casting stability of steel for thin strip by two rolls and thin slab quality. It also analyzes and studies the effect of mechanical side seal technique in continuous casting of steel for thin strip. Through tests the paper studies pressing method of side sealing, material of side sealing plate and temperature of side seal plate on casting stability and slab quality.
