在多元文化的背景下，景观环境设计如何体现地域特征与时代精神显得尤为重要。作者以北戴河休闲绿化广场规划设计为例，分析了设计理念与主题对规划设计的指导作用，论述了当代城市广场的功用、结构布局及设计手法，从而达到“体现地域特征与时代精神”的创作要旨。

Under multiculture, how to materialize regional character and con-temporary spirit in the landscape design is very important. This paper, taking Beidaihe Recreation Square as an example, analyzes the guidance of design ideas and themes to the landscape design,and tries to discuss the function, structural layout and design techniques of city squares, on purpose to realize the combination of regional character and contemporary spirit.
