The history and development of geoanalytical techniques are reviewed; the new demands of modem geosciences to geoanalysis and the basical conditions provided by analytical science are discussed; the important fields and the hot techniques of current geoanalysis including the development of bulk-analysis and microanalysis techniques and the demands for gas geochemical analysis, field analysis, geostandard materials and 'green' analytical techniques are evaluated and forecasted: 'Geoanalysis' came from 'rock and mineral analysis' and will expand to 'natural material analysis' concerning in more fields.
