This paper discusses the principle of oil-film clutch used in soft-start of belt conveyor, analyzes the parameters of the hydraulic system, and also analyzes the method determining the oil flow and oil pressure of the control circuit and the oil flow of the lubricating-cooling circuit when used in belt conveyor. All these together provide theoretical base of application of oil-film clutch to belt conveyor, and give a reference for application of the clutch to similar fields.
