This paper gives the testing for pointer modification count of SDH transmis-sion equipment in communications trunk projects,analysis and judgement of troubles,presents the troubles existing in clock unit in transmission equipment,and emphasizes the importance of pointer modification count testing in testing and maintenance of trans-mission equipment.
