The application of CCD(charged coupled device)is more and more widely.In the paper,some applications were summarized in the mechanical measurement and some common means used in the mechanical system on line measurement were systematized.The paper also discuses the main part of the measurement system and some methods how to process the signal of CCD.Finally,abbreviated comments and developing tendency of the on line precision measurement using CCD are given.
