Rational Reflection On Exam-oriented And Overall Quality Education

应试教育与素质教育属于两个不同的教育体系 ,应试教育是以追求“升学率”为最终目标 ,素质教育是以培养学生个性得到全面发展为目的 ,两者之间既有区别 ,又有联系。应试教育在我国社会主义初级阶段发挥了重要作用 ,培养了大批人才 ,不可全盘否定。素质教育是对应试教育的辩证否定与升华。这种教育体系还刚刚创立 ,在理论上和实践操作上还不够成熟 。

Exam-oriented and overall quality education belong to two different education systems. The former was set up with the aim of pursuing the entering proportion, while the latter is encouraged to add richness to the individuality in all aspects. Some differences and connections exist at the same time between the two. Exam-oriented education, which played a very important role in cultivating a large number of intellectuals in the early stage of socialism, can not be completely denied. Over quality education is critically established and improved on the basis of exam-oriented education, and it is not mature theoretically and practically. Therefore, we must stimulate the newly reformed system steadily and energetically in order to prepare well for the realization of overall quality education.
