提出了一种基于MPEG2编码的高密度光盘新标准,并介绍了新标准光盘的制作系统。新标准将在容量为4.7GB的DVD光盘上记录超过5h的、水平清晰度超过350线的高质量音视频节目。现有的DVD播放机只需简单升级固件,即可播放新标准的光盘节目。

The paper puts forward a new standard for high density optical disk based on MPEG-2,and introduces the product system for the new standard disk.The new standard enables a DVD disk to record more than5hours high quality program,whose horizontal resolution will be more than350lines.The existing DVD players need update their firmware only to play the new standard disk.[
