摘要
本文描述了一个灵敏面积为100×100mm^2的两维位置灵敏雪崩室的结构、电场分布、工艺及性能。用栅极进行位置读出。在360Pa的异丁烯气体中用^(252)Cf源对探测器的性能进行了检验,得到ΔX=3.7mm(FWHM)、ΔY=4mm的位置分辨,280ps的时间分辨和31%的能损ΔE分辨。
A bidimensional transmission position sensitive avalanche chamber with sensitive area of 100 × 100 mm2 has been developed. The electric field distribution inside the chamber is calculated. The properties of the detector are tested by operating the detector in flowing isobutylene gas at a pressure of 360 Pa and using 252Cf spontaneous fission source. A time resolution of 280 ps (FWHM) and position resolutions of 3.7 mm in x-coordinated axis and 4 mm in y-coordinated axis are obtained.
