A look at the democratic views held by the contemporary university students——A "simulating test" for democracy

当代大学生的民主观念和认识总起来看,可做如下概括性表述:民主具有合理性、平等性、参与性,可以调动参与者的积极性;民主具有相对性,与专制相比它是一种好的选择;民主受物质条仲的制约;民主只能做到形式公正,但形式民主也可能形成“多数人的暴政”,因此民主也要保护少数人的利益;真正的民主需要科学化、理性化的要素参与其中。

In general, contemporary university students' views on democracy can be described as: democracy should be rational, equal and participatory, thus stir up the participators' active will; democracy is relative, and will be taken as a choice better than autocracy; democracy is limited with its material condition; democracy is equal only in form, and even this equal form is possible to become 'the dictatorship for majority', and thus needs in turn to protect the minority. A true democracy needs some scientific and rational factors to be included in it.
