IP multicast technology has become a hot spot of intensive research anddevelopment at horne and abroad. Starting from lP muIticast operation mechnism,lGMP several main routing protocols, multicast-enabled application programming and multicast management, this paper gives an overall and comprehensive introduction to the connocation of lP multicast technology The fuIl text will be published in three issues.
