This paper expatiates the challenges with which the enterprises are faced, introduces the evolution of the enterprise product mode, and explaines that mass customization is a kind of product mode for enterprises taking the challenges of knowledge based economy age. Then it discusses the connotation, philosophy and implementation methodology of mass customization. It gaves some theoretic and technique advice for enterprises in the knowledge based economy age.
