In this paper, by discussing the relation between the inverse problems of matrices and variable-metric algorithms, we point out a way of constructing variable-metric algorithm. For example, we obtain a family of algorithms with n parameters, and a stronger result than J.E.Dennis and R.B.Sehnabel [6].
