现代技术的发展极大地提高了人类的能力。但技术思维的特点是先行地把握物的数量关系和逻辑联系 ,而不顾及自然的质和内在价值 ,所以 ,它必然会造成意义损失。技术时代在精神塑造方面的缺陷正源于此。它会造成情感的平面化和被动化、社会的技术文化控制、思想的片面化 ,可能使人伦异化和丧失尊严 。

Modern technology has greatly improved our abilities to harness nature. The technological thinking, however, is to predominatingly grasp the quantitative and logical relation of things, regardless of the qualities and intimate values of 'Nature', which will surely cause the loss of meaning. This is where technological times' defects in moulding our spirit come.It will result in such phenomena as the loss of feeling's depth and initiative, technological control over our society and alienation in ethic, which we must remedy with Bildung.
