摘要
北宋理学的文化使命 ,就是要在汉唐以来佛道之教盛行、儒家信仰受到严重挑战的时刻 ,重新恢复对儒家人文之道的信仰。二程在理学史上的最大贡献 ,就是确立了以天理论为中心的思想体系。二程一方面将宇宙主宰的“天”与人文法则的“理”统一起来 ,另一方面则是将超越存在的天理与个人内在的人性统一起来 ,从而确立了儒家人文之道的形上依据 。
The cultural mission of Neo Confucianism in Northern Song Dynasty is to re establish the humanistic belief in Confucianism in the time when Buddhism and Taoism prevailed and Confucianism was confronted with serious challenges. The Cheng Brothers' ideological system characterized by the Heavenly Principle is by all means the greatest contribution in the history of Neo Confucianism. The Cheng Brothers unified the Universe dominator 'Tian'(Heaven) with humanist 'li' (Principle) on one hand and unified the transcendental Heavenly Principle with the individual's internal human nature on the other, thus leading to the establishment of metaphysical foundation of the Confucian humanism and the reconstruction of the belief in Confucianism.
