唐先祖李虎与清水李虎墓志铭

The Late Grandfather of Tang Dynasty Li Hu and the Epitaph for Li Hu in Qingshui County

甘肃清水县藏有《李虎墓志》一通,有学者认为其即李渊祖父李虎。从得姓由来说法、本人字号及父祖姓名、历官封爵、逝年与葬地等四方面进行考察,证明清水李虎与唐祖李虎绝非同一人。

There is a collection book The Epitaph for Li Hu in Qingshui County of Gansu Province. Some scholars believe that the Li Hu is Li Yuans grandfather whose name is also Li Hu. The investigations on the origins of his surname, style, the names of his father and grandfather, ranks and titles, the year he died and the place of his tomb proved that the Li Hu in Qingshui County and the late grandfather of Tang Dynasty Li Hu are absolutely not the same identical person.
