Aim: To understand and comprehend method of CAPP. Methods: This paper presents the status of investigation about CAPP, and initially analyzes and studies the problems related to CAPP. Results: CAPP has great value, and has tight relations with other areas of engineering, but there are still some problems needed to be solved. Conclusions: AS a summary of CAPP, this paper provides a reference to the research and development direction of CAPP.
