This paper introduces the importance of security and audit in network management. Then with the situation of CNPC Net, the function of security and audit in network management, the structure of the security and audit system and the implementation of this system are expatiated. This system includes the function of collecting, requesting, accepting storing and querying data. It is convenient to examine and compare log information and is effective and timely to find intrusion and attack to network. This improves the efficiency of server system.
