No More Tragedy in the New Century——Thought on the 25 th Anniversary of the Tangshan Earthquake

新世纪中国经济的高速发展要有安全减灾科技手段作保证 ,这是被发达国家验证过的道理。本文从 2 5年前中国唐山大地震为例 ,对比分析了国外情况 ,从总体上归纳了中国灾害的潜势 ,并畅谈了“2 0 0 1年国际减灾日”的主题 。

The high-speed economic development of China in the new century needs the supports of high-tech methods of calamity reducing. This principle has been proved by the development history of the developed country. Taking the Tangshan Earthquake 25 years age as an example, this paper analyzes the foreign status, summarizes calamity potentials, talks about the theme of the International Calamity Reducing Day 2001, and discusses comprehensive calamity reducing stratagem of Chinese cities in the new century from five aspects.
