This paper reviews the development of the world planning schools organizations in the 20 th century, pointing out the necessity and historical significance for establishing a global planning education organization facing the 21 st century. It also analyses the submitted papers of the 1 st WPSC, from which the author summarizes three important main trends of planning education.
