摘要 由于驱动双稳态胆甾相液晶显示所需的典型峰—峰电压比STN-LCD的高2~3倍,因此,其瞬态电流可能非常大,以致会损坏大多数半导体驱动器。为了减小最大转变电流,除了降低峰值电压外,还应限制电压转换时间。在本文,我们研究了转换-速率对最大输出电流、平均功率和动态光学响应的影响。根据电路理论,我们获得了实验和理论计算结果之间很好的符合。优化设置可以溶入我们的驱动方案中,使得低电压和低电流可以满足大规模集成(VLSI)的要求。 Since the typical peak to peak voltage needed to drive the bistable cholesteric display is two to three times higher than that for super twist nematic(STN) displays,the transient current can be excessively large and detrimental to most semiconductor divers.To reduce the maximum switching current,the voltage transition time shouldbe restricted in addition to reducing the peak voltage.In this paper,we studied the effect of slew rate on the maximum output current,average output powera and the dynamic optical responses.Based on circuit theory,we obtained a good agreement between experimental and calculated results.The optimal settings can be incorporated into our driving scheme so that low voltage and current requirements can be met for very large scale integration(VLSI)implementation.
