为了民族的生存和发展 ,云南大学民族学学科在 2 1 1工程建设中实现了跳跃式的发展 ,成为全国一流的学科。高教授一边当领导 ,一边做学问 ,不仅以大魄力整合了云南大学的民族学学科 ,而且用大手笔领导了“跨世纪云南民族调查” ,出了成果 ,出了人才。在民族学的发展方向上 ,主张民族学与自然科学交叉 ,用自然科学的手段和方法来解决传统民族学不能解决的某些难题 ,使民族学显得更有包容性和科学性。

In the interest of national existence and development,the research of ethnology of Yunnan University has made a great leap in the reconstruction of No.211 Project and has become a first-rate discipline. In the course of its development ,Professor Gao makes great contribution and proposes his new idea in the interest of developmental existence of our nation and the world.
