摘要
首先介绍了 ADSL中 DMT调制的原理 ,然后采用嵌入式的设计思想构建了一个符合 G.Dmt的外置式 ADSL远端收发器 (ATU - R)设备 ,并详细说明了此设备的软硬件结构。文末给出了试验结果 。
Asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) is a technique that performs asymmetric high speed data transmission on two wire twisted metallic cable pairs. Because it can provide a standard, economical, and convenient broadband access, ADSL is widely applied in the future. ADSL transceiver consists of two parts: ATU C (ADSL terminal unit center office) and ATU R (ADSL terminal unit remote). There are two types of ATU R which are the extended one and the internal one. ITU Recommendation G.Dmt and G.Lite describe the characters of ADSL transceiver, in which DMT (discrete multitone) modulation is adopted. This paper, firstly describes the principle of DMT modulation in brief, then constructs a platform of external ADSL terminal unit remote(ATU R)for G.Dmt, using the method for embedded system design. Finally the hardware and the software architectures are presented in detail. Experimental results show that the ATU R can successfully implement some broadband services.
