西欧社会历史观的进步与发展，与人对自身的揭示和认识有着直接联系。哲学史上每一次对人自身的揭示和发现，都必定带来一场人类社会历史观方面的深刻变化。本文记叙了西欧历史理性形成、发展、科学化的过程，从中揭示了人类历史理性在这一过程中所遵循的内在逻辑、规律。
