有机硫化合物的制备和应用是近代有机合成中一个十分引人注目的课题。我们发现,在乙酸体系中,用过硼酸钠可以氧化芳硫基乙酸酯(Ⅰ)。

Arylthioacetates and their oxidation products have been separated by thin- layer chromatography ( TLC ) using silica gel as the stationary phase and petroleum ether-ethyl acetate-dichloromethane( 40 : 10 : 4 V/V) as the developer. The relationship between the TLC behaviour and the molecular structure of arylthioacetates and their oxidation products was investigated. In this paper the concept of steric effect is used to interpret the change of the R, values with the number and the position of the groups on aromatic ring.
